Your privacy is important to us.  To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.  This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from toogoodprograms.org (the “Site”).

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

On some pages, you can submit information about other people.  For example, if you order a product online and want it sent directly to another recipient, you will need to submit the recipient's address.  In this circumstance, the types of personal information collected include Name, Organization, Address, and Phone Number.

How do we use your Personal Information?

As part of the standard operation of our website, we may collect certain non-personal information from you, including but not limited to your browser type, operating system, IP address and the domain name from which you accessed the site.  In addition, we may collect information about your browsing behavior, such as the date and time you visit the site, the areas or pages of the site that you visit, the amount of time you spend viewing the site, the number of times you return to the site and other click-stream data.  We use this non-personal information to better design our website and products.  However, we use non-identifying and aggregate information when sharing this information with staff or contractors.  For example, we may tell staff that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

Communicate with you; Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

Sharing Your Personal Information

Mendez Foundation does not rent or sell personally identifying or potentially personally identifying information we gather through the website.

The site may contain links to third-party websites, which may have privacy policies that differ from our own.  We are not responsible for the activities and practices that take place on these sites.  Accordingly, we recommend that you review the privacy policy posted on any site that you may access through the site.

Do Not Track

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

Your Rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted.  If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above.  Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Data Retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Privacy Policy Changes

Mendez Foundation may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, at our sole discretion.  Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such changes, whose effective date is shown below.  If the terms have changed since your last visit, the website may prompt you to review and accept the changes.

Our Commitment to Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Our Commitment to Children's Privacy:

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important.  For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
